Okay so. Most first apps die because the problem is too big.
“A platform for freelancers” isn’t a problem. It’s a weekend of sadness. Here’s the trick: three questions before you open an editor.
- Who exactly pays? A job title or a hobby. Not “everyone.”
- What do they do today instead? A spreadsheet, a VA, or nothing at all. (Every business runs on a messy spreadsheet someone hates.)
- Can version 1 be one screen? If not, cut until it can. The rest is a Friday problem.
Then write your One-Sentence Spec
A [tool] for [specific person] that [does one job]. They put in [input] and get [output].
Example: “A form for dog groomers to take bookings, and it emails them the details.” Same AI, better ticket.
Your homework (10 minutes, tonight)
- Write three problem candidates.
- Run each through the 3 questions.
- Keep one. Write its one-sentence spec.
- Reply to my welcome email with it. A human on the HI Studio team reads replies.
Then if you want the whole path in order (build, deploy, price, first users), that’s what Prompt to Paid is. The free stuff isn’t going anywhere.
